The adventures of Cam

Hello and welcome to a world where funny, crazy and unexpected things happen... after a hard year getting my Masters Degree and having a crazy Summer in London, I decided to go and work for the South Korean government on several teaching projects (Comm Design & English) for a private design middle school
and design university... my new adventure has begun!

Gabriella Turns 31!

Tonight a small group of us met up in Sinchon to celebrate Gaby getting old, haha! Pizza, beers and darts-kept it nice and simple as we needed to save our energy for NYE.

I was having a street fashion interview at the Snow Jam competition ....thought i dressed pretty much as casual as possible, but i guess it works. Its in the 'street fashion' section for December 2009.

A Lazy Winter's Sunday

So its finally snowing in the city! Got up late after staying up until 4am to watch Arsenal demolish Hull in the EPL (thats english football to those who aren't familiar).
Went to mum's today (i have korean parents too) for a nice beef dinner and lots of fruit/cake. Had fun with my little korean best friend Gon, he likes to going out and being crazy too.

A date with my 2nd Graders

I took my 2nd grade students to see a korean christmas play in Apgujeoung (the so-called Beverley Hills of Korea, although how it got that reputation is beyond me!).

It was a small production, but was executed very well. The entire play was recited in Italian singing, with korean subtitles....really good.

My student Kitty was trying so hard to read all of the subtitles (they were really quick!)

So the show ended around 1pm, at which point we were all on the verge of starvation...i headed to my favorite store in Korea-Butterfingers, being a Saturday it was pretty busy, so i decided i will take out. I cheekily took a menu from a random girl's hand as i knew she'd done ordering-she looks up and asks who am i with, and once i tell her im alone she demanded that i join her and her sister for lunch to make up for the menu-snatching. So im having lunch with Catherine, 23 (i gave her an english name, which she will now adopt for the rest of her life) and her older sister, 25 (Brooke-who speaks little english)....had fun, will be hanging out with them again im sure.

The best part was the tea shop....you're basically sitting in the middle of a giant forest-i imagine it looks even more amazing during Spring or Autumn due to the blossom and leaves' colour change.

Meeting Randoms-Part 1

So I met up with Anthony after work to discuss life's interests and exchange a few ideas for work... obviously we went for pancakes, and ended up meeting some randoms.

Went to my favorite café after dinner, its my favourite one in Gangnam, mainly because its full of beautiful korean people but the building has an unfinished feel to it.

As we were leaving one of the girls sitting accross from us gives me this on a piece of A4-had it had a phone number on it, i would have been smitten by the idea. In any case, i thought it was sweet.... needless to say she has talent.
